NASM Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) Program

The NASM Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) Program is a specialized program designed to prepare future fitness professionals and provide them with an NCCA-accredited certification, equipping them for a successful career in personal training.

  3. Basic and Applied Sciences with Nutrition Concepts: Providing the scientific foundation for understanding exercise physiology, anatomy, and nutrition needs. 
  4. Assessment: Methods for evaluating clients’ fitness, strength, endurance, flexibility, and functional movement. 
  5. Exercise Techniques and Instruction: Learning proper exercise execution and how to teach clients safely and effectively. 
  6. Program Design: Developing comprehensive, individualized training programs tailored to each client’s goals and needs. 

Program Content and Learning Methods

The program is delivered both in-person and online through NASM’s advanced learning platforms and includes:

  • 23 in-depth chapters covering all aspects of personal training. 
  • Audio summaries for easy review and study on the go. 
  • Over 45 interactive instructional videos explaining key concepts and techniques. 
  • More than 200 exercise demonstration videos teaching correct execution of a wide range of exercises. 
  • 180 days to complete the final exam and earn the accredited certification.
