Coach Dareen Al-Naber

In this inspiring episode, we host Coach Dareen Al-Naber, who brings a rich and unique experience — one that began in engineering and evolved into the world of fitness coaching, specifically within one of the most globally recognized and influential systems: F45.
This episode isn’t just about training — it’s about personal transformation, community building, and overcoming challenges.

Engineering: The Path to Learning How to Learn

Dareen’s journey started in academia, with a background in engineering. But she believes that more important than the degree itself was that it taught her how to learn — a core skill that she carried into the fitness world. It’s what made her a coach capable of understanding, analyzing, and constantly developing everything she offers.

The Challenge in a Competitive Field

As Dareen describes it, the fitness industry is highly competitive.
But she believes that true achievement is worth the struggle — and that every bit of progress you make today is something your future self will thank you for.
This belief motivated her to launch F45 in Jordan, even during one of the most difficult times — the COVID-19 pandemic.

F45: More Than Fitness — A Way of Life

F45 is unlike other fitness systems:

  • Only 45 minutes of high-intensity training.
  • Constant variety — no session is ever repeated.
  • Combines functional movements, circuit training, and strength work.
  • No mirrors in the studio — to avoid comparison and keep the focus on oneself.
  • All participants worldwide perform the same workout on the same day — building a sense of global community.
  • Every new member is welcomed by name — reinforcing connection and mutual support.

And it carries a clear motto:

“Time Training. Life Changing.”
The short time you spend training can transform your entire life.

Starting the Project During the Pandemic: The Ultimate Challenge

Despite the tough circumstances, Dareen launched F45 Jordan during the pandemic.
During lockdowns, she offered free online classes and free nutrition plans to participants.
Once restrictions eased, the team implemented social distancing measures and safe training setups, helping people return with confidence.

The results were remarkable:

F45 Jordan ranked 32nd globally out of more than 15,000 branches worldwide — a reflection of the dedication and spirit that drove the project’s success.

The Fitness Industry: More Than Just Exercise

Dareen believes that the beauty of this field lies in the fact that it’s not only about physical fitness, but about changing mindsets and communities.
Athletes and trainees aren’t just people who exercise — they are individuals whose lives have transformed through the experience.
Bringing a global fitness concept into the local community was a huge challenge — but one that brought immense reward.

Qualities of a True Coach

Valued qualities:

  1. Building genuine relationships with the team through shared goals.
  2. Having solid knowledge, especially in anatomy and correct exercise technique.
  3. Motivation, empathy, and understanding each trainee’s needs.

Undesirable qualities:

  1. Impatience with slow progress.
  2. Claiming full knowledge without continuous learning.
  3. Lack of ambition or unwillingness to train personally.

Episode Message

Through her journey, Dareen Al-Naber embodies the idea that training is not just a physical activity — it’s a lifelong learning journey, a supportive community, and a continuous self-transformation.

Because the time you spend training may be short, but it can change your entire life,
F45 is more than a fitness system — it’s a shared human experience that begins with the body and extends to the mind and soul.
